Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to join our Compliance Department. This role is key in ensuring ÜNLÜ & Co’s full alignment with applicable financial regulations and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and enforce compliance with the Capital Markets Board (SPK), Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA-BDDK), and MASAK regulations, as well as internal group policies.
- Conduct KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checks, including client identification, risk classification, sanctions screening, and enhanced due diligence.
- Review customer onboarding processes and ensure proper execution of risk disclosures and framework agreements.
- Identify and report actual or potential compliance breaches and assist in implementing necessary corrective actions.
- Monitor transactions and reporting suspicious activity to MASAK when needed.
- Review and approve external communications and reports for compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards.
- Monitor regulatory developments, assess implications for the business, and support policy/procedure updates.
- Support the design and delivery of internal compliance training, especially in areas such as ethics, data privacy, and conflicts of interest.
- Contribute to the evaluation of new products and services from a compliance perspective.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and help prevent misuse of non-public information.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university (preferably in Law, Economics, Finance, or Business).
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in compliance, internal audit, or risk management within the financial services sector.
- Solid understanding of capital markets operations and related legislation.
- Familiarity with MASAK, SPK, and other regulatory bodies’ requirements.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- High ethical standards, strong communication skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
- SPK License is a plus (especially Level 3).
