Legal Counsel

We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team and support our legal operations within the financial services sector. The role will mainly focus on contract management, corporate governance processes, and coordination with external law firms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, draft, and revise various types of contracts (service agreements, confidentiality agreements, engagement letters, etc.)
• Assist in corporate governance and board secretariat activities, including preparation of Board and committee meeting materials and resolutions.
• Ensure corporate records are properly maintained and aligned with regulatory requirements
• Coordinate and follow up on legal matters with external law firms and relevant authorities
• Provide day-to-day legal support to business units on corporate, commercial, and compliance-related issues
• Monitor regulatory updates and assist in implementing required changes within the company
• Contribute to the preparation and updating of internal procedures and compliance documentation (e.g., confidentiality, data protection, ethics)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Law and licensed to practice in Turkey
• 2–3 years of experience in a law firm and/or corporate legal department (preferably in finance, banking, or capital markets)
• Solid knowledge of corporate and commercial law; familiarity with capital markets legislation is an asset
• Experience in contract review and corporate governance processes
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to manage external stakeholders
• Advanced in English
• Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
